Illinois State Fair Concessionaire Information
Rates are subject to change.
Direct Sales (over
counter):
All concessionaires selling over the counter are charged the
following flat fee tax, which is due by July 1. An additional fee of
10 percent of gross receipts after sales tax will also be charged.
Percentage payments must be made daily with final settlement at the
end of the fair.
$40.00 per front foot -- outside location
$65.00 per front foot in the Exposition Building main floor
$40.00 per front foot in the Exposition Building mezzanine -- Arts &
Crafts Show
$65.00 per front foot in Grandstand
Concession footage must include awnings, tie-ons, overhangs, trailer
hitch, etc.
Footage is calculated as follows:
one working side -- front footage
two or more working sides -- front footage plus serving footage
Indirect Sales (taking
orders/leads):
All concessionaires indirectly selling by taking orders or
obtaining leads will be charged the following flat fee, which is due
by July 1. The management of the Illinois State Fair will make the
final determination of the type of sales.
$100.00 per front foot -- outside location
$125.00 per front foot in Exposition Building main floor
$ 50.00 per front foot in Exposition Building mezzanine-- Arts and
Crafts Show
$100.00 per front foot in Grandstand
Electrical Rates:
Inside concessions
30 Amp -- $65.00
60 Amp -- $130.00
Outside concessions
30 Amp -- $121.50
60 Amp -- $243
100 Amp -- $405
200 Amp -- $810
Insurance:
General liability insurance is required for all concessionaires.
Proof of insurance must be provided to the Illinois State Fair, c/o
Fair Concessions Office in the following minimum amounts:
$100,000 per person
$500,000 per occurrence
$50,000 property damage
Supply vehicles:
All supply vehicles must be parked in designated supply lots, which
will be located throughout the fairgrounds for your convenience.
Supply units will not be allowed behind the concession.
Outside Concessionaires:
The following points are imperative for your participation in the
Illinois State Fair:
1) Trailers must have professional vinyl skirting. No fringe
banners, produce banners or posters may be used.
2) Trailers should have removable hitches or professional skirting
to conceal the hitch.
3) LP gas tanks and soft drink canisters must have hoses long enough
so that the canisters can be stored in the back of the stand and
concealed with professional tent screening or attractive fencing.
4) All signs must be attractive and professionally painted. Signs
displayed perpendicular to the trailer or hung from an awning must
have a minimum clearance of seven feet.
