Farmer's Little Helpers ...... 10 am - 7 pm
Farmer's Little Helpers is the newest addition to the Heartland/Gate 2! Little Helpers learn by taking part in hands-on activities. Learn about Illinois agriculture by raising farm animals, tending to crops, and taking the harvest to market. When the work is done, Farmer's Little Helpers sell their bounty for a "Market Dollar" and then spend it at the Grocery Store for a tasty treat!

Farmers Market Tent ........ 9 am - 6 pm
presented by The Illinois Specialty Growers Associations Located at the corner of Brian Raney and Farm O' Rama Avenues, the Illinois Specialty Growers will be selling sweet corn, apple cider slush, peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon, popcorn, fresh garden salads and the popular egg - on - a stick.

Illinois Department of Agriculture Tent ......... 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sample and purchase Illinois Food Products ........ 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Teachers - come and see what activities and information are available for use in your classroom. Discover the Illinois Department of Agriculture role in the promotion and regulation of Illinois agriculture and consumer protection. Visit the exhibits highlighting the department's partnership with other state agencies and several commodity groups. Food and agricultural demonstrations daily. Daily cooking demonstrations featuring Illinois Products.
