SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - A heavy rain storm Friday evening has caused the postponement of today's harness races at the Illinois State Fair.
Because of wet track conditions at the Grandstand, Saturday's races will be run tomorrow (Sunday, Aug. 15), which had been a scheduled off day. Post time is noon.
The Original Kiss Army concert scheduled tonight at eight o'clock in the Grandstand is still on. Barring additional rain, fair officials are optimistic the track will dry out in the afternoon and be opened in time for the show. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased at the Grandstand box office.
